Remarks
I first observed these insects in the curled up leaf of an unidentified plant in my garden. Upon a closer look, it became evident that a colony of ants were taking care of the aphids and feeding off of the honeydew. Qué rico!
The wikipedia article indicates that these dudes are a vector for disease.
